Wallet and Balance

SageTube uses a wallet-based system to manage your usage costs. Your balance covers transcription, chat queries, and other platform features.

How Your Wallet Works

Your wallet balance comes from two sources:

1. Monthly Allowance: Included with your subscription plan

   • Starter: $5 one-time starting balance
   • Builder: $9/month included allowance
   • Creator: $29/month included allowance
   • Enterprise: $99/month included allowance

2. Top-ups: Add funds anytime from the Balance page, on any plan including Starter. The minimum top-up is $5.

Pay-as-You-Go Rates

When you use SageTube, costs are deducted from your balance:

• Video transcription: ~$0.025 per minute blended on average — most YouTube videos have captions and cost $0.01/min; videos without captions are transcribed by AI at $0.05/min
• PDF Processing: $0.05 per page
• Chat Queries: $0.02 per 1,000 tokens. Tokens are counted on both the question — which includes the source excerpts we retrieve to answer it — and on the answer itself, so a typical question costs about $0.13. Longer questions and Experts with more sources cost more.

Enterprise plan subscribers receive a 20% discount on all pay-as-you-go charges.

Balance Rollovers

Your unused balance carries over month to month. If you have $8 remaining when your next monthly allowance arrives, the new allowance is added to your existing balance.

Checking Your Balance

View your current balance anytime from:

• The Dashboard header
• Your Billing page
• Account settings

You'll receive notifications when your balance runs low.

Top-Up

To add funds to your wallet, visit your Billing page and click "Add Funds". Choose an amount and complete payment via Stripe.
